In response to the national imperative to improve mathematics and science education for our students, The Montana Math and Science Teacher Initiative (MMSTI) was created as a statewide partnership involving multiple stakeholders and policy makers to assess the situation of mathematics and science education in Montana. To date, MMSTI has worked collaboratively to align state systematic data collection processes with nine institutions of higher education (please refer to partnerships below), the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education, and the Office of Public Instruction.
